Unfortunately not a good day today. We have encountered another very scary bump. Apparently a small part of Dinky's bowel is necrotic, or "dead". This can be treated with strong antibiotics but it may require surgery. They are doing x-rays every 6 hours to see if air is escaping from the intestines at which time he would require surgery. I really just can't believe this is happening, things were going so well. Our little buddy just can't get a break. He won't be able to eat for 10-14 days while the bowel is treated. They are encouraged that he doesn't look any more "sick" than he does so hopefully this course of antibiotics will do the trick. Please pray for our little man and we'll keep you posted.
