I knew all of you would be thinking about Dinky (by the way, I have given up on trying to call him Edison) so I wanted to give you a quick report. His surgery went well this morning! WHEW!!! He did have a very large PDA that they were able to tie off AND clip (usually they just do one but they had to do both for him). Based on some observations the doctor doesn't think this was a huge part of his problem so we're not sure how much "better" he'll be afterwards, but it had to be done. So far he is recovering well but his blood pressure is running high so they are watching that. I will post again tonight to let you know how he's doing but I just wanted you all to know he is out of surgery and it went well.

Whew is right. I think all of us were holding our breaths. This is a big step and I can't help but think that with a strong functioning heart, other issues will get better. Wish we were there in person, but know that we are right there in spirit and love. A big sqeeze for you and Martin and a tiny one for Dinky.

Prayers are answered. And I'm with "pa". Having this behind him has to help. We love you guys, and we really appreciate you letting us join you on this journey. Take good care of each other... especially our little guy. Go Dinky!!!

Here we all are again, cheering Dinky and company along--and being cheered in turn by Dinky and company!
Not a day passes that I don't stop and just shake my head in awe of all the love and goodness that radiates around our wee one. Again, love, love, and love...

I agree, "WHEW!"! I am so relieved to hear that the surgery went so well this morning. I could have hardly asked for better news today. How Fantastic!
