Today was a good day for our little man. In fact, not a lot to report which is pretty good 2 days after surgery! He had had a chest tube in following surgery to drain out any fluid in his lungs and that came out today. His blood pressure has been better although still a tiny bit high. His biggest problem today has been an upset tummy. He has had quite the sound effects!! During a particular episode a doctor looked our way quizzically and I quickly had to clarify that it wasn't me!
There probably won't be a lot to report each day as a lot of where we are now is waiting and watching. Waiting for his lungs to heal, watching him get bigger. He still has a lot to get through, most notably his next big surgery, but he's a lot stronger than the 2 pound giant he was when he had his first one.
On a personal note (I guess these are all personal notes :) I want to thank Kim for coming out from Oregon to meet our little guy. Her support during his surgery meant so much. I love getting to show our little guy off and I can't wait until he meets each and every one of you. We thank you all for the many ways that you support us.

So... now we can refer to the "little fart" with both affection AND admiration! This is truly a big day for us all.
It's also good to know that Dinky is now about the size that you, Pooh, were when you were born. That's comforting, too.
Kim... thanks for being there.
Now this is for my boy, Spunky. You know little man, that you have overcome more in 9 short weeks than any of us out here have had to face in an entire lifetime. So, let's jump these next couple of hurdles and get you the hell out of "Dodge" and home where you belong. With your Mom and Dad with no tubes. OK, little buddy.
Can't wait to hold ya.

Wait just a minute, Pa Mood! Dinky doesn't need any more nicknames, even if the topic under discussion is a "Moody thing"!
I too anxiously await the time when I can hold Dinky, pat his little butt, gently rub his cheek. and, best of all, read him a story. Take care of him for me. love...
