Not a lot to report today. Dinky was pretty quiet. His blood pressure has still been high. Cardiology came by to take a look but it doesn't seem like they think it's a cardiology issue. From what the doctor said it's not "dangerously high" so I think the plan is just to wait and see for a little while. Martin and I were reading up on it a little bit and it also seems like it could be related to his lung disease. As with a lot of things I think we just have to wait and see.
On the upside his x-rays continue to be improved so we are making progress with the NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis) that has been our latest hurdle. They are anticipating starting to feed him again in five days or so.
Hopefully by next week we'll be back on track and can continue to make the forward progress he had been making before the NEC.

Good morning, sweeties. As usual, I woke up this morning thinking of the three of you. As I lay in bed, I recalled a quote Dr. Massey used last night at the college's awards banquet: "Life isn't a matter of milestones but of moments." (Rose Kennedy)
What a sobering thought, and how appropriate it is relative to our precious Dinky. I have stored away many, many Dinky moments, and they bring me warm memories and help me to remain humble. love...

Gosh, Dobie always says the most beautiful and appropriate things on this blog. I wish I had the ability to express myself in the way that she so tenderly does.
We have all shared so many wonderful moments throughout this experience and I thank you, Jen, Martin, and Edison, for allowing us to share them with you.
You are my loves,
Sue
