Saturday, 4/2

It was a rainy, windy day but luckily for our little one it was pretty quiet. He had a good day today. His ventilator settings stayed the same and he had very few "episodes". When he did it usually meant he needed to be suctioned but when he was doing well he was "sating" 98% on room air (that's great!) The plan is to do an ECHO on Monday to check his PDA and then we'll discuss options for that (again).

I have to say, the older he's getting the sadder I'm getting. I keep wondering if he's unhappy, if he's bored, if he's in pain. I think I am attributing more of an understanding on his part but it breaks my heart. Martin and I were reassuring him today that one day, when this is all over, he can have any kind of car he wants. :)

Well, my little sister (your Ma Moody)beat me to it when she wrote the words just ahead of me! That was going to be my message of cheer for you today, Dinky!

Instead, I will just suggest that your mom and dad bring a Tar Heel ram and perch it on your isolette today. Then, everyone who peeks in on you will know you are a champion among champions!! Go, Dinky! love...

Hey there Spunky... In case no one told you, UNC made the NCAA finals last night, against lots of odds.
You've already proven that winners never give up. Maybe you can play at UNC when you grow up, and will be close enough that Pa can borrow the keys to that fancy car you are going to get :-)

Love to ya, little guy, and to your Mom and Dad, too.
