Jen and Martin- I was not able to get on the site yesterday b/c of various reasons, so I feel left out of wishing you guys all the best as you begin the "new chapter".. how sweet it is to sign on tonight and see Edison sleeping so peacefully in "his" very own crib in his room! I know you guys probably are not peaceful in your room.. but that will come with time--I will be thinking and praying for you guys...THANK YOU so much for all you have done with keeping up the blog this whole time.. it has really meant a lot to me! Lots of love.. Bethany
I can't think of today without thinking about a line from an old hymn that Jen's granddaddy loved so much..." what a day of rejoicing that will be." Truly it is.
The picture of Eddie in his car seat says it all... "are we there yet?"
Welcome home Edison Ruef, the little engine who DID.
Boy oh boy, this has been quite a year! This is one of the absolute highlights in a year marked with spots of happiness and many roadblocks. But I have to tell you, that this is one of the biggest blessings any of us could get. And if collectively we have now used up all of our blessings, I think that would be ok. You are all loved and we are overjoyed for you.
Thank you for all the picture of your journey homeward yesterday. I feel like my best friend just won the lottery, a marathon, and the World Series. Thanks for letting me celebrate this joy with you and Martin.
