Today was a big day! Dinky moved up a diaper size!! Below you will see his first diaper, for micropreemies, and his current one. I missed the one in between. It really is amazing to see the difference. He's more than quadrupled his weight since birth!
Unfortunately our big man took advantage of these new diapers and wanted to make sure I got plenty of practice changing them. The thing with Dinky is he definitely does things from one extreme to the other. We've gone from worrying that he wasn't pooping enough to worrying today that he was pooping too much! I'm hoping it's just a result of his being off his feeds for 24 hours and that he'll start to get back to normal, whatever that is.
We enjoyed a nice visit with Sue today! He was very excited to show off how much he's grown since she last saw him. And in between poops he even flashed one of his winning grins. Another good day to add to the books!

Isn't it amazing what a story can be told with something so ordinary as two diapers!! He's not "wee Dinky" any more--instead he's a nice armful with a little butt that mom and dad still love to pat. And his Great Aunt Dobie looks forward to the day when she can pat that little butt too! love...

Wow! I had such a great visit with Jen and Edison. It is amazing to see him now, he has made so many strides.
He is so active and reactive now. His eyes (when not glued to Mommmy) follow his mobile or toy rings as they move. He smiles, and gurggles, and even tries to mimic mom doing "raspberries" by sticking out his tongue and making bubbles. I am pretty sure that he is also a baby genius since he seems to make the appropriate facial reaction as he listens to conversations that are going on around him. I swear that I saw him laughing when I made some jokes! AMAZING!
I can't wait to keep discovering more of Dinky's personality!!
